First ingredient that goes into this Banana Breakfast Smoothie is the banana. It gives fibre and also adds the necessary base to make the smoothie thick. I have used robusta banana, while you can also use any type of ripe small plantain for this.
Then, I added the berries. Since, fresh blueberries were in season and available on Bigbasket I have used those here. But, if you find it hard to get blueberries you can use other readily available berry like the strawberry (when in season) or fresh cherries (not the candided one's) or even grapes as you wish.
Then for more fibre and taste I added the almond dry berries mix that I had stored in fridge earlier. This is mix made by blending almonds, macadamia nuts(can replace with cashews) and dried berries in a mixer.
Now for some kick and to give us the anti-oxidant I have added two small pieces of dark chocolate (Click here to know the Interesting facts about dark chocolate) and a bit of brown sugar for taste.
Finally, all I did was add in the milk and blend it all well in a mixer. Now, the amazing Banana Breakfast Smoothie is ready. It fills your stomach and can readily replace your breakfast for the day.
