Note: A traditional sweet recipe, which is delicious, this coconut burfi or nariyal burfi is often made during the festive occasions, especially for Diwali in many houses. One can also call it the thengai burfi. This a quick recipe and can be made using very few ingredients. Now, there are many ways to make this burfi, we have given an easy way here.
To make the coconut burfi, first mix grated coconut, sugar and milk in a Kadhai. You can cook this on a medium stirring continuously for sometime.
Then, when it thickens add in the milk powder. Now, when it comes to the desired consistency (that is when it starts to leave the sides of the pan), You can add cardamom powder.
After that mix it well and transfer the mixture into a greased plate or square pan. Let it cool for sometime. You can cut it into pieces, after a while.
