Note: Hot as the chillies that go in the recipe, this hot and sweet chutney is just mouthwatering. You can call it a kind of delicious fiery chutney. You can also reduce the spice by adding less chillies (However it tastes best with more chillies, obviously). The tangy taste of tamarind added with chillies gives off a fabulous flavour. Also, as the name suggests, this chutney has chillies, tamarind and jaggery thus giving it a hot and sweet taste.

To start with, first of all crush the red chillies. You can also add salt while crushing the chillies. The dried chillies in fact gives a warm sensation to the mouth, while also adding a depth of flavour to the hot and sweet chutney. This chutney is also very easy to make at home.
