overnight oats with chia seeds
Yields1 Serving
Prep Time14 mins
Ingredients
3 tbsp Oats (preferably rolled oats, but I have used instant)
2 tbsp Chia Seeds (can also be basil seeds- I used 1 tbsp each)
Water/Milk/Vegan Milk (as required to soak the oats and chia seeds
For the toppings
 4 Almonds
 2 tbsp Pomegranate Seeds
 1 Banana (small)
1 tbsp Cocoa Nibs (as required)
Honey (Sweetener - Optional)Fruits of your choice as toppings
Method/Instructions
1

Soak the oats and chia seeds overnight in liquid (It can be water, milk, vegan milk, I used water but milk is best). After sometime it thickens and becomes like a jelly or pudding like consistency. Consistency depends on the proportion of liquid vs solids you use.

Keep it in the fridge. Refrigerate overnight preferably.

2

Then next morning when you are ready to consume it for breakfast add the toppings of your choice. But before that I topped it off with some milk for better taste. I have added 4 almonds, a handful of pomegranate seeds, one small banana, and some cocoa nibs). You can also add any sweetener of your choice if you want to. I have added some honey.

3

Fruits that you add for toppings can be your choice. You can also use berries, cherries, apples as you like to top it off. Or for dry fruits you can use any nuts you wants, or dry fruits like dates, apricot, fig as well.

Tips
4

You can also customize the milk as per your dietary choice from the full fat milk to skimmed, slim fat, soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk, oats milk or any plant based milk as you like.

And for sweeteners you can use sugar, coconut sugar, honey, maple or date syrup if you want. There are also healthy alternatives to sugar like stevia etc.

Quantity of the liquid that you use is also at your discretion
